Claret - Irish bumble
The Claret is also called the Claret Bumble or the Claret - Irish bumble. It is a pattern typically tied on hooks #8 to #12 and is an excellent fly for use in spring and fall. Most people use the Claret as a wet fly on lakes to fish brown trout but is also can be used for seatrout. The tail is tied by using gold pheasant tippets. For the body you can use seal dubbing, palmered with a red/black hackle and finished with a gold thread ribbing. The hackle is made with stripped Jay feathers.
