The Flyfish Dictionary | Double Taper
D.T.
D.T. stands for Double Taper. This indicates how a flyline is tapered. In the case of a D.T. line the line is tapered at both ends. This allows the fisher to reverse the line on the reel after a certain period ( as both ends are the same ) giving the fisher a "new" line. D.T. lines are usually a little bit harder to cast in windy conditions.
