Ghillie
The word Ghillie or Gillie originated from the Scottish Gaelic dialect "gille" meaning lad or servant. In the late 16th century in the Scottish highlands this term was used for an attendant during a fishing or hunting trip. Today the word Ghillie is used for someone who shows you the hotspots, knows the rivers and gives advice on fishing techniques.
